Denise Meridith is a highly accomplished senior executive, entrepreneur and thought leader with more than 40 years of success in government, technology, sports, and entertainment. Her broad areas of expertise include government relations, crisis management, public and media relations, image management, technical writing, marketing, strategic planning, community outreach and public speaking.
Meridith was the first woman professional hired by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). During her 29 years of service, Meridith served in multiple states. While in Washington, DC, as the first woman Deputy Director of the BLM, she oversaw 200 offices, 10,000 employees and a $1.1 billion budget. After early retirement and for the past 22 years, she has been CEO of Denise Meridith Consultants Inc (DMCI), a public and community relations firm. For the past five years, Meridith has also been CEO of The World's Best Connectors LLC, a virtual community of C-suite executives who help other executives enhance their connections with family, employees, clients, government, and the media.
As a native New Yorker, sports have always been a love of Meridith’s. During the past 25 years in Arizona, she ran Linking Sports & Communities (a youth sports non-profit for 14 years) and was a Governor-appointed member of the original Arizona Sports & Tourism Board. She helped win approval for the State Farm Stadium for the Arizona Cardinals, and allocate funding for the new MLB spring training stadiums. She taught sports marketing at Arizona State University and is now launching Project NILO, a business education program for college athletes.
