Denise Meridith is a highly accomplished senior executive, entrepreneur and thought leader with more than 40 years of success in government, technology, sports and entertainment. Leveraging extensive experience in public relations and management, she is an asset for any organization or project. Her broad areas of expertise include government relations, crisis management, public and media relations, image management, technical writing, marketing, strategic planning, community outreach and public speaking.
Throughout her life, Meridith has held leadership positions in a multitude of capacities. During 29 years of the Federal government, she served in multiple states and while in Washington, DC she oversaw 200 offices, 10,000 employees and a $1.1 billion budget. For the past 19 years, she has been a leader in non-profit management and business as CEO of Denise Meridith Consultants Inc (DMCI), a public and community relations firm. Now Meridith is also CEO of The World's Best Connectors LLC, a virtual community for C-suite executives.
As a native New Yorker, sports have always been a love of Meridith’s. She had a good relationship with coaches for the Washington Redskins and attended two of their winning Super Bowls. During the past 25 years in Arizona, she ran Linking Sports & Communities (a youth sports non-profit for 14 years) and was a Governor-appointed member of the original Arizona Sports & Tourism Board. While there, she managed all the public meetings for the referendum that approved the State Farm Stadium for the Arizona Cardinals, as well as helped allocate funding for the new MLB spring training stadiums. She maintains excellent relationships with the professional and amateur sports franchises and many athletes in Arizona.
Regarding activities like business pitch and development activities, Meridith’s academic knowledge and skills (BS from Cornell and MPA from University of S. California) will be very beneficial to athletes who want to create businesses. For many years, she taught business (e.g., acquisitions & mergers, supply chain management, etc.) and communication and presentation skills to top-level business executives for Cornell University. Most recently she has been teaching sports marketing at Arizona State University. Denise and DMCI are well-known and have won many awards for work in business development in Arizona.
