Kerwin Brown brings considerable experience with over thirty years in marketing and business development. He has held numerous sales, management and business development positions in the insurance, banking and investment industries. He managed the development of the in-branch investment brokerage program for Wells Fargo Bank and managed sales and marketing for a national, community bank investment program for Transamerica Life Insurance Company. After relocating to Phoenix, Kerwin served as President/CEO of the Black Chamber of Arizona and has continued to help businesses as the Founder and Managing Principal of K-Vaughn Consulting, LLC. The UPI Loan Fund is a Community Development Loan Fund, (CDLF), which officially launches in Phoenix, Arizona in August, 2020. Kerwin serves as Executive Director, with the expectation of rapid expansion of the Fund within the financial lending industry. Their purpose – is to provide affordable, low cost loan products at varying interest rates (or no-interest rate in special cases) that will focus on the financial needs of unbanked and under-banked, low/moderate- income families and communities; particularly the marginalized consisting of African Americans and other people of color. Their services provide an alternative to predatory lenders.
The UPI Loan Fund serves the needs of municipalities and communities by giving individuals, veterans and businesses an affordable loan option/alternative coupled with first class cloud-based behavioral financial wellness seminars and training classes.
